High in the mountains of Chalatenango, El Salvador, Finca El Trompillo is the home of Don Ovidio Flores and a lifetime shaped by coffee. His story began at 15, working alongside his father in the fields, which led him to these higher mountain slopes, where the farm now reaches elevations of 1,650 meters.
Among the cool mountain air and surrounding forest, Ovidio grows Pacamara, Pacas, Typica, and Geisha, each variety adding its own character to the farm. Washed, honey, and natural processing methods allow him to explore the different expressions of the coffee, from bright fruit and delicate sweetness to deeper, more layered flavors.
El Trompillo is more than a place where coffee is grown. It is the result of years of patience, experimentation, and family tradition—a farm shaped by Ovidio’s hands and his enduring connection to the land.
