It’s officially sweater weather and theres nothing better than a coffee that embodies the season itself. And that’s exactly what we were hoping to create when we were looking for components for this blend. Think crisp mornings, cozy layers, and that first warm sip that makes you say “Yep, fall’s here.”
This seasonal blend has two different components in it:
Our first component is a double fermentation lot from Colombia. This means that the whole cherries are sealed in tanks for anaerobic fermentation (no oxygen), developing winey, fruity, or spiced notes, and that’s where we get the candied apple complexity from. How fun!
Our second component is is a washed lot from Central Kenya. This specific lot from Kenya threw us off a little because its not typically what a Kenya would taste like (typically floral/fruity notes) but it was perfect for this blend because it really grounds and carries the cup with it’s cederwood earthiness and clarity.
Together, these coffees create a comforting cup perfect for the turning of the season.
Both of these components are from smallholder farms who uphold some of the world’s most respected coffee traditions. Their craft, Kathy’s artwork, and your cup all come together in a story of connection.
