Country: Peru
Producer: Smallholder Farmers
Process: Washed
Varietal: Various
Elevation: 1,200 – 1,600 masl
Region: Chirinos, Cajamarca
Farm: Finca Churupampa
Grown in the highlands around Chirinos, Churupampa reflects the slow rhythm of Andean farming, its name drawn from Quechua meaning "snail plains." Led by the Tocto family, Finca Churupampa is a model of regenerative, organic farming with no herbicides or chemical pesticides, rooted in a smallholder tradition that dates to the late 1800s, when Peru emerged as a global export origin after coffee leaf rust reshaped the industry.
